Junkers Watches

Junkers Watches by Bernd Junkers, grandson of the great aviation pioneer Hugo Junkers. Bernd set himself to cultivate his grandfather’s history and preserve it. For example he maintains and gives access to the “Archiv Bernd Junkers” containing a priceless collection of images, drawings and private notes of Hugo Junkers.

All components for the watches are made by special manufacturers, they come from prestigious manufacturers in Switzerland, as well as a well-known producer in Japan (Miyota). The final assembly of the watches is done according to the rules of German traditional watchmaking. Each Junkers and Zeppelin watch is a quality product “Made in Germany”.

 

Bauhaus Series

Hugo Junkers was not only a brilliant engineer, but also a great admirer of expressionist painting and modern design. Consequently he developed a close and very fertile connection with the artists of the Bauhaus movement, which was originated in Dessau. Faithful to the motto of Marcel Breuer: ” The good artist works together with the good engineer”, Hugo Junkers adopted the high aesthetic claims of the Bauhaus movement for the creation of his aeroplanes.

Cockpit JU52 Series

The cockpit of the JU 52 with its fascinating displays and instruments still is a very special attraction to man of today. The same fascination is mediated by the watches of the series “Cockpit JU 52” through the fine interplay of the dial in cockpit-look with a very sportive casing.

Eisvogel F13 Series

In the summer of 1923 the Junkers F13 EISVOGEL completed the first ever flight from Spitsbergen in the direction of the North Pole. We have dedicated the EISVOGEL collection to this adventurous journey into the heart of the polar glacier region. Iron Annie Series

To mark the 30th anniversary of the successful family business of Junkers, this series is dedicated to the still flying Lufthansa owned JUNKERS aircraft with the label D-AQUI, which an American once lovingly started to call “Iron Annie”. Like its legendary role model, the edition “Iron Annie” stands for robustness, reliability, technical innovation, high-quality construction and distinctive design.

Mountain Wave Series

The history of the Mountain Wave Project that we sponsored tells the story of two courageous glider pilots who flew over Mount Everest (8849 metres) at icy temperatures as low as -46° and, together with the German Aerospace Center (DLR), undertook the first 3D measurement of the mountain, in order to identify better rescue routes for mountain climbers, amongst other things. Our extraordinary Junkers automatic chronograph, the “Mount Everest”, which was designed specifically for this project, has a dial so blue that it mirrors the sky that surrounds the highest peak on our earth.

Tante JU Series

Tante JU This was once deemed to be the safest aircraft in the world – the legendary Ju 52, lovingly known as “Tante Ju” (Aunty Ju). Eight airworthy models of this extremely robust and reliable machine are still around today.
