Seiko Presage Limited Edition “Star Bar” Automatic Dress Watch with Open Heart #SSA409

The Presage Seiko SSA409 (known colloquially as “Star Bar”) is a limited edition of 6000 worldwide . The Star Bar is cocktail bar in Ginza which is also home to Seiko. The Star Bar has a unique drink called the Honeycomb which is made with honey from Bees in Ginza. The dial is the color of the Honeycomb cocktail and it has a honeycomb pattern inspired by the bees in Ginza. An open heart is featured at the nine o’clock position on the dial.

The watch is powered by the Seiko 4R38 self-winding movement that can also be hand wound and hacked. The seconds hand is a goldtone color while the hands and hour markers are a silver color. The brown leather strap (with contrasting stitching) has a deployant clasp for quick on and off. A box-shaped Hardlex crystal is used on the front along with an exhibition back that allows you to view the movement in action. The watch is water resistant to 50 meters.
